Torlon®/Cryogenic Bearing Retainers for Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)

Increased international demand for natural gas has led to an increase in the transport and storage of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The $30 billion global LNG market is expected to double in the next seven years.

When cooled to -260 degrees Fahrenheit (-162 C), natural gas becomes liquid with a volume 1/600 that of gas making large-scale, long-distance transportation feasible.

Torlon® (PAI) cryogenic bearing retainers for LNG transfer pumps withstand temperatures to -295 degrees Fahrenheit (-182 C) while maintaining dimensional integrity, high strength, and chemical and wear resistance.

Economical and precise: to reduce costs, Torlon® retainers are injection molded to a near net shape, which is then machined to tight tolerances (0.003”). Available in sizes from 3" to 10"
